2.5K people have already signed up for Disney College program online, and we’re just about ready to start it.
That’s according to an interview with Disney’s Head of Online Education, Marcia Tuchman.
Tuchmann’s been working with the college program for several months now and we can now say that the program is about to get a whole lot more interesting.
According to Tuchmans interview, Disney College is about “to get really, really exciting.”
It is, after all, an online program, and she’s excited about how Disney will allow people to participate and learn from each other.
For example, Tuchmen told IGN, Disney plans to be able to connect people from different colleges and universities to one another through a shared curriculum and “create a shared experience where they are able to get access to content that they might not otherwise have access to.”
Tuchms words are incredibly exciting, especially given the fact that Disney is working with Microsoft on this very concept.
For now, though, we’ll have to wait for more information on Disney College.
The program is currently scheduled to begin in September, and the first class of Disney College graduates will begin to graduate this coming June.
The Disney College website already has a bunch of information about the program, including how to sign up, how to register, and how to get started.
The online courses, which are expected to be much smaller than the traditional classes, will also allow people with limited or no internet access to learn from a diverse array of people.
Tuchman also shared a video showing how the Disney College curriculum will help students find jobs in the future.
