When I was a kid, I had a programming problem.
The answer was, “I don’t know.
I’m a dumb kid.”
And I’m not sure why I was dumb, or that I could ever be smart.
So I started to read books, and one of the books I found really helpful was Learn Programming by Cody Ting.
It’s the same book that I read as a kid.
It was a good book.
But it was a very, very old book.
And so it’s been a very long time since I read that book.
I mean, I’ve read a few other books.
But it’s hard for me to pick up a book now.
Like I said, it’s a very old and hard to read book.
The reason is, you’ve got to be a really good reader.
Now, it was the late 80s and early 90s.
This is when I was in my 20s.
I’d read a lot of Simpsons books.
And they were really good.
They were not just “The Simpsons” books.
They weren’t just Simpson books.
You know, they were Simson books.
So you read those, you know, in the 80s.
And you just kind of picked up the language, you’d think, “Ah, it works.
I can do this.”
And it worked.
It wasn’t that hard.
And the same thing happened with programming.
It just worked.
You read the book.
You got a lot out of it.
And then you got to work on it.
It worked.
You’d read the books again.
You read the Simplified Python books.
And it became very easy.
And now, it can be very, easily done.
So now, when I’m in my 30s, I read a bunch of Python books again and try to get as much out of them as I can.
Then I pick up another book.
This time it’s Learn Programming by Chris Lacy.
And I read it again.
And again.
And again.
A lot of the lessons in that book I take to heart.
I really do believe that the same kind of approach can be applied to programming.
There are two parts to this.
One is learning a language, learning a programming language, then learning a language that will allow you to do things that you can’t do with the current language.
When I started programming, learning the language was not an option.
In fact, if you were a kid who was really good at programming, learning the language would be the last thing you would do.
And that’s why I started with Python.
It’s easy to learn a programming language.
There are a few things you have to learn.
You have to know how to write code.
You can’t just write code for fun.
You also have to be able to program in a way that’s not hard, not slow.
For example, you have to learn how to use the C library.
The language has to have all of the things you need to do in order to use a C library, and you have some other libraries that you use.
And if you are learning C, you will have to use those libraries to write your programs.
And there are many ways that you have to do this.
To learn the C language, I’d read Lysenko and Mendelsohn and Fitzgerald and Spencer-Hughes and Gibson.
That’s the C books.
And in addition, I’d just read Hobbes and Hamilton and Wagner.
And I read Watson and then Tocqueville and the American Statesman.
And even though these books are books about American history, they have a lot to say about American politics.
They are very, very important books.
I read them all.
Reading the C books was the hardest thing.
And one of them was Lisbon: A History of the United States by Henry B. Jacobs.
I think he said, “It is the best book you can read about the history of the USA.”
I remember sitting down in front of that book for hours.
I was just reading.
I couldn’t finish.
And my friend Bartlett said, “You’re gonna want to sit down, you’re gonna need a break.
It has to be something.”
And so I did.
And by the time I finished the book, I was tired.
But that’s the only time I ever finished it.
So, I just read
